String of Pearls Senecio rowleyanus, Update

Time for a String of Pearls update. I bought this plant, Senecio rowleyanus, at our local Green Thumb Nursery back in March of 2019, and wrote a post about it. I included simple care instructions as well. See here.

While searching the internet to see if I could learn anything new about growing String of Pearls,  I found an interesting garden site that you may find helpful. It is called Gardening Know How. You might want to take a look. There is a lot of very interesting information found there, including the fact that string of pearls makes a very good house plant, which was nice to know because I was wondering if my plant was getting enough light.

Hens and Chicks (Sempervivum tectorum)

Hens and Chicks, (Sempervivum tectorum) also known as House Leeks, are a fun and easy plant to grow indoors and out. They are considered a hardy succulent and make great container plants. Above you can see one that grows happily in my east facing  living room window. The main plant known as the hen, is roset shaped and produces many offsets or chicks around the central evergreen plant. Chicks are attached to the mother plant by underground runners.
