Euphorbia Horrida

Euphorbia Horrida is a slow growing spiny succulent. When I saw my plant in the nursery, I thought it was a cactus. I was wrong.

It is native to South Africa and likes full sun, or bright, indirect light. It is not particular. Euphorbia Horrida prefers fast draining succulent or cactus mix.

When the soil is very dry, water thoroughly and then allow to dry again before watering.

Eupohorbias range from tiny annual plants to large long-lived trees. The genus has roughhly 2,000 family members.

While reading about this plant, I realized I have one of its relatives and had previously posted about it. See Here. They are very different looking, as you saw if you looked at my earlier post. both varieties are cared for in the same way.

I hope you enjoyed learning about this unusual succulent and might add one to your succulent collection.
