Caring for My Succulents
Succulent care really is an art. There’s always something new to see and learn. I spent most of the afternoon cleaning and pruning my ever evolving collection. Here are a few of them. The plant on the bottom left, Cyanotis, commonly known as Kittens, or Cats ears, is originally from my parents garden in Fountain Valley. They gave it to me in 1988 when they moved to Seal Beach. A Day for Yellow Flowers
Yesterday was for pink flowers, and this morning while on our patio, I realized that today is for yellow flowers.
Our yellow hibiscus had several beautiful flowers. Working in the backyard, I spotted a small yellow flower on one of our succulents.You can see it below.
We are in the midst of a Southern California weather pattern right now that happens every year; it is called June gloom. I wrote about it previously in a post called The June Gloom is Over. On overcast days like today, there is nothing more cheerful than a bright yellow flower.
