This morning I felt closed in. I usually spend part of each day outside in our garden enjoying the fresh air and sunshine we’ve come to expect in southern California. The weather has been cold and gloomy the past few weeks and I just haven’t felt like being outside very much. This morning was especially cloudy and I was feeling the effects, so I put our dog, Annika in the car, and we headed to a nearby park for an outing.

I loved the bark on this tree.

The lights in the park are shaped like mission bells. You can see how gray the sky was. We walked for half an hour and although chilly, it was so nice to be outside in the fresh air.

Once home, I made myself a cup of tea, and Annika climbed into her bed and took a nap.
