A Nighttime Photography Field Trip

Anaheim-Sation
During a nighttime photography field trip, I took this photo at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Center in Anaheim, California. It was one of the stops on a night time photography field trip I took with my photo class. The station was amazing to see, especially at night.

Here is the building from the outside. It really is worth a visit, even if you aren’t planning to ride the metrolink train.
Light-on-Table
The original reason for our field trip to Anaheim, was nighttime photography practice during the Disneyland fireworks, but unfortunately the fireworks were canceled because of wind. I took the above photo in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It really is a spectacular hotel.   A few of us went in to have a look around.

Another beautiful lamp inside the hotel. You can tell, that I love lamps. Although we did not see the fireworks, I had no problem finding interesting things to photograph. I didn’t get home until 11:30 P.M., but it was well worth the late night excursion.

The June Gloom is Over

Dana-sail-boatOur Southern California June Gloom seems to be over, so after an early morning plant watering session, we headed for Dana Point where it was ten degrees cooler than our 100 plus temperature here in the foothills.
sailboat-2 We sat next to the main channel and watched the boats on the water. It was a perfect day for sailing.

After a cooling stop at the harbor, we headed to Dairy Queen for a burger and ice cream sundae. It was a refreshing afternoon considering the temperature had topped 100.
