A cool and easy, low calorie dessert was a perfect choice, because we are having a heat wave in California and I was looking for a cool dessert, preferably low calorie. I made some orange jello and wanted to dress it up a bit. I had some applesauce, so added some to the dish along with the jello. The combination was refreshing and tasty, plus it was easy to make. I used sugar free jello and unsweetened applesauce, so it made for a healthy, low calorie dessert. Just, what I’d been looking for.

Root Beer and Milk
Simply pour root beer into a glass and add four ounces of milk. Stir and enjoy.
I use diet root beer and non fat milk, but you can vary that if you wish.
It tastes like a melted root beer float, and I love it.
