Mission Viejo is a wonderful place for walking. This morning I wanted to walk our little white dog, Annika somewhere different. She isn’t good around dogs she doesn’t know, especially big dogs, so I’ve never walked her at the lake. There are usually a lot of people walking their dogs and I haven’t wanted to risk it. Today I was feeling adventurous so I gave it a try, and it couldn’t have been nicer. I took the above photo of Lake Mission Viejo to prove we’d done it.
Next we spent time in the Florence Joyner Olympic Park where I took this photo of one of two bronze statues of the famous Olympic runner. She had lived here in Mission Viejo at one time. before her untimely death in 1998. Below is the second statue. They are both beautiful to see.
Annika and I had a very nice walk, and it was fun to take a different route than we usually do.
Look who enjoyed a nice afternoon nap. The fresh air and exercise was good for both of us.
