Saturday morning we rode with the San Clemente Scooter Club to the City of Orange International Street Fair.
We’ve belonged to the scooter club for several years, and I’m still an enthusiastic member even though I now ride a 3-wheel can-am Spyder. We were a smaller group on Saturday, only ten of us. My husband was the sweep, making sure everyone arrived safely at the destination.
As you can see, there were lots of people and lots of food.

I love the historic buildings in the city of Orange. The Old Towne Historic District of Orange was placed on the Register of Historic Places in 1997; it includes more than 1,300 buildings. It’s approximately one square mile in size and the largest National Register district in California. It gives you an idea about life in the area from 1888 to 1940. If you would like to learn more about this historic district go to About the City of Orange.
As I was getting ready to take a photo of this building, I spotted four police officers in the door frame, watching over the activities. I asked permission to take their photo and happily they agreed. Afterwards I thanked them, wishing them all a good and safe day.
We had such a fun time, but it was another unseasonably hot day in Southern California so we headed home a little early. I was able to take this last photo before leaving.
