I love dessert, and autumn is the time for apples and spice. Here is a quick and easy recipe just perfect for this time of year.
There are four simple ingredients:
20 oz. can Apple Pie Filling 1 package Spice Cake Mix
1/3 cup Butter (or Margarine) melted 1/2 cup unsweetened Applesauce
Spread apple pie filling in a buttered 9×5 loaf pan.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over pie filling. (I use all except a half-cup of the mix.)
Drizzle melted butter over top of cake mix.
Place in a 350°F oven, bake for 40 minutes, and then carefully remove the pan from oven. Next gently stir in the 1/2 cup of applesauce, until any dry cake mix is moistened. Return pan to oven for 10 more minutes or until golden brown, then let pudding cool slightly before serving, as it will retain heat.
Serve alone, or with vanilla ice cream. The pudding is delicious both ways. I know you’ll love it.
