Banana Water for Roses

Banana water is so simple to make and my roses love it.

Banana peels are rich in potassium which supports stronger stems, more flowers, and plant health.

In our house, we eat banana on our oatmeal most mornings. I simply take the peel and place it it in a container of water. The next day I pour the liquid on one or more of my plants. Sometimes I keep the mixture more than one day. Our roses have really been outstanding this spring.

Because banana water is a gentle fertilizer, don’t be afraid of over using.

I did read a suggestion not to use the water on houseplants, because it may attract fruitflies indoors.

Give it a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed. By the way, my geraniums are also beautiful this spring. Our apple tree has more bossoms this year as well. I have been treating them all to banana water for several months.

Gardening starts earlier in southern California, than in many areas, and this year we seem to be starting even earlier than usual.

I would love to know what you think, and your results. Happy gardening.
