Hiking the Oso Trail

For the second day in a row, Martin and I hiked the Oso Creek Trail. We live so close,  but never took time to explore it. As you can see in the photo above,  it’s beautiful, and well worth visiting.

As usual, I couldn’t help taking lots of photographs of the flowers along the way.
Below is a photo of a wild artichoke, which we found along the side of the trail.

The next photo shows the plant, before it flowers.

While reading about the wild artichoke, I learned that it is quickly becoming a pest in Southern California as its parachute type seed is easily spread by the wind.

We finished our 90 minute hike with a walk through thousands of daisies. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.
