As you can see we weren’t the only ones in Orange County trying to escape the heat yesterday. Just as we were looking forward to some cool fall weather, we were hit with above average temperatures. I haven’t had much chance to ride my can-am spyder lately, so we decided to take a ride to the coast in search of cooler weather.

First we made a quick stop at the post office to mail a letter, and then made a stop at Cycle Gear to look at motorcycle stuff. Can you guess whose idea that was?

Look who’s shopping the sales. Next we went to lunch at a cafe in the same plaza.

Finally, we made it to Newport Beach, and found out that it wasn’t much cooler than Mission Viejo, but it didn’t matter, because looking down at the entrance to Newport Harbor was just so beautiful and refreshing no matter what the thermometer read.
