Giving Up the TV

Breakfast

I have been thinking about giving up the TVĀ  for a long time. I’ve come to the conclusion that I watch far too much. It has always been a part of my life and I wonder how many of my thoughts and feeling have been molded by this invention. Can I give it up, and what will my life be like without it? Well, it’s time to find out. I imagine myself getting a lot more done around the house, and having more time for family, friends, and Plum Bird Corner. We usually eat dinner in front of the TV, but tonight we ate at the kitchen table by candlelight. It was so nice to sit peacefully and discuss the days activities. It’s now 9:00 and still no TV. We have music playing and I’m not missing watching the television at all. I made a visit to the library today and plan on curling up with a good book in a few minutes. It has been a good day, and I’m looking forward to another day without TV tomorrow.
