A Christmas Surprise

This morning I dropped by to visit the Crafty Ladies, a wonderful group of knitting and crocheting ladies that I once belonged to. I wanted to wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I was very surprised when a dear friend who I hadn’t  seen in a very long time presented me with this lovely ornament. She also gave me the beautiful change purse pictured below, which contained a penny, because my friend told me you can’t give someone a purse without money in it.

It really was a Christmas surprise. I’ve been taking a photography class on Wednesday mornings, which is at the same time the knitting group meets. I hadn’t been knitting for a very long time, but suddenly the urge to pick up my needles and yarn hit me. It felt so good to be back with these wonderful ladies. Today the photography class ended, so it looks like I’ll be heading back to the knitting/crocheting group starting next week. Can’t wait.
