A Fun Vacation in Chula Vista and San Diego

Blue-PatuniaWe arrived home yesterday from our four day trip to Chula Vista, California, where I took the above photo of this gorgeous Petunia blossom during a morning walk.

On our second day there we spent the afternoon in nearby Balboa Park. I absolutely love the Arboretum and could spend an entire day taking photos and admiring the beautiful plants.

Next we looked around the Spanish Village Art Center, where several artists have studios and you can see many of them at work. Below is one of the studios with a sample of the artist’s work on display.

We had a wonderful time in Chula Vista and San Diego, but as usual it’s good to be home.

  1. The picture you took of the door, looks like a painting. It is beautiful. Wonder what is behind that door? Some happy family, right?
    Beautiful pictures.

    • Thanks so much. I think it might have been a back door to one of the studios. I would love to have a studio like that for myself. San Diego is a rather long commute, though.
